In order to be admitted to German
universities, candidates must pass the DSH (Deutschen Sprachprüfung für den
Hochschulzugang), a language test that verifies their proficiency in the
language. The DSH test is created by the universities themselves or by other
colleges who have been hired to create the test on their behalf.
The DSH accesses you in the same four
ways as the testDAF, but the final mark is distinct from the testDAF. There are
written and spoken portions to the exam.
The following will be assessed through
the written exam:
1) Listening comprehension
2) Written comprehension
3) Text production
The following is assessed during the oral exam:
1) Comprehension of a partner
2) Ability to express a concept in an
independent way
3) Linguistic and lexical correctness
4) Pronunciation and intonation
